Collide As soon as fans hear “COLLIDE”, the Lava Records debut from SKILLET, they will know that singer and bassist John Cooper is true to his word. From the scorching hard rock songs like “Forsaken”, “Savior”, “My Obsession” and “Cycle Down”, to the soaring ballad “A Little More”, Skillet is ready to bring their awesome energy to a whole new audience. The four-piece rock band, led by Cooper, has toured relentlessly since they formed in the late 90s. Fueled by a love of hard rock and pop melodies, Skillet released several albums independently, and driven by their faith in the music, began to make an impact drawing huge crowds across America.
Customer Review: 4.5 Stars
This isn’t really a 5-star album. it’s worth what it’s rated now- 4.5 average. However, Collide is a great record, and was one of my first Christian hard rock records. Anyway- I’ll be as short as I can- there’s not a bad song on here. True, “Under My Skin” sounds a bit off-tempo (to me), but this is made up for my standout tracks like “Imperfection”. Anyway- this is great for fans of hard rock. However, those introduced to Skillet by their more recent singles “The Older I Get” and “Those Nights” definitely need to listen to song previews for this record- it’s tremendously rawer and more powerful.
Customer Review: Very good……and not just for Christian fans
No matter what your beliefs, this is a really good CD. An example of a band who keeps getting better, and the production is much improved on the CD which certainly adds to the bands strength. I’d also recomend new Fozzy with the WWE wrestler Chris Jericho, All THat Remains Reloaded as well for fans fo the genre
